Last Thursday, we had the pleasure of welcoming researchers from University of Southampton to the Future Oceans Foundation and The Coral Centre.

They were on-site collecting coral samples as part of a research project investigating the presence of a specific coral parasite. It’s exciting to see academic research and hands-on marine work coming together in this way.

Collaborations like this are crucial if we’re going to better understand the threats facing coral reefs and develop meaningful responses. Looking forward to seeing what the team discovers.
