This new sea defence structure is being constructed to help save the 11th century temple Pura Luhur Uluwatu, situated 70m above sea level. along the rugged coastline of Uluwatu, Bali.

It looks like these interlocking concrete modules and natural rock reinforcements are more than just barriers—they’re a frontline defense against coastal erosion, storm surges, and the long-term impacts of rising sea levels.
