Coral Racks In Bali

Rob had a great oportunity to snorkel over these coral racks in Bali!
These underwater nurseries are not just growing vibrant, sustainable corals for the aquarium trade, they’re also providing jobs and economic opportunities for local communities.
By farming corals instead of harvesting from the wild, these initiatives help protect natural reefs while creating a steady income for skilled workers who maintain, grow, and harvest these corals. It’s a win for both conservation and the economy.
It was inspiring to see how these projects and there's so much more to learn!
I’ll be sharing more of my thoughts and observations about coral restoration and reef systems over the next few weeks.
